Room for Embellishment

The Challenge

As The Merrion were refurbishing their bedroom suites, Bossanova was invited us to take a fresh look at their in-room collateral, which needed to be functional and in keeping with the overall design aesthetic.

The Response

We took our cues from the exquisite work of Interior designer, Alice Roden who has worked with The Merrion since its opening. We first created a bespoke pattern to pick up on the elegant use of textiles and fabrics. The colour palette gives collateral just enough pop to get noticed while complementing the room’s natural and restful tones.

A full suite of collateral was designed and print managed to include: in-room dining and mini bar menus, door signs, laundry wheels, Italian leather-bound guest directories as well as packaging for The Merrion’s signature candle. Overall, the look is unified and consistent with The Merrion’s positioning as Dublin’s most stylish 5 star hotel.
